This curved, banana-shaped, neoprene tube locates a 30 degree reverse angle under the PIP joint to simulate a spring-like mechanism. It distributes lift along the entire volar surface of the digit. This lift, combined with a constrictive factor at the distal end of the digit, eliminates the harmful pressure commonly experienced with other forms of extension splinting.
